BUDGET Car Rental at Frankfurt Airport

Budget Frankfurt Airport's rental station is located inside both terminals, when you arrive. The Budget rental desks are only a short walk from the car parking lots. The rental desks are open between the hours of 6.00 and midnight every day of the week, except at Christmas, when different opening times are in place. The primary renter entering a car rental agreement with Budget Frankfurt Airport must have a valid drivers license which has been held in his/her country of residence for at least one year prior to the rental period. Drivers who do not reside in the European Union may also be required to have an International Driving Permit. Younger drivers under the age of 25 may pay a higher rental rate, in the form of a Young Drivers Fee, which is applied daily per Young Driver, up until a maximum of ten rental days. Younger individuals may also not be able to hire certain larger or specialty type vehicles, for example full size vans like the Ford Galaxy, a 7-seater very economical in fuel usage.

A major credit card must be held in the name of the primary renter in order to pay for the Budget Frankfurt Airport rental vehicle. Payments can be made with credit cards issued by American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa. Budget Charge Cards can also be used to pay for the rental. For some car groups two major credit cards are required, for example for vehicles from the luxury groups.

Budget Frankfurt Airport has an extensive fleet that includes Mini category vehicles like the Toyota Aygo and Economy vehicles like the Seat Ibiza. For customers in a hurry, Budget offers the Fastbreak Service. Simply use the line that leads to the Fastbreak Kiosk or use the regular one, if no Fastbreak line is available, and present identification. You will receive your rental agreement, keys and directions to your car from the Budget Frankfurt Airport representative. At the end of your rental contract, follow the signs for Car Rental Return. There's no need to return to the counter or kiosk. Simply record your mileage and fuel level in the tank on the rental agreement and drop it with the keys into the Budget Fastbreak return box. Budget will mail a completed rental agreement to you within 48 hours. For after hours returns customers can use the drop box, which is located in the Returns area.

Some locations offer Personal Accident Insurance, which is available for between 6.00 and 7.50 euros a day. Budget will not pay for the costs, if a driver is injured or dies in an accident while driving a vehicle hired from Budget Frankfurt Airport. Personal items stolen or damaged will also not be paid for by Budget, neither their replacement nor their repair. Passengers are regarded as third parties and would therefore benefit from Third Party Liability insurance cover, which is provided with the vehicle rental as standard.
