SIXT Car Rental at Frankfurt Airport

Customers arriving at Frankfurt am Main Airport do not require a shuttle service to get to their Sixt car rental station. At Terminal 1 the Sixt rental desk is located in Hall A, Level 0. In Terminal 2 the Sixt rental desk can be found in Hall D in the “Car Rental Center”. Simply follow the signs leading you to the “Mietwagen/Car Rental” areas in the terminals. Sixt Frankfurt Airport operates a 24-hour returns policy with drop boxes for after hours returns located in the main Returns areas at the terminals. Motorways (Autobahnen) A3 and A5 take you directly to the airport. Signs lead to the parking areas where Sixt rental vehicles can be left. Simply follow the “Car Rental Return” signage when you get to Terminal 1 or 2.

Between the hours of 6.00 and 22.00 staff are at hand to take care of your return and check over your Sixt vehicle for any damage. Between the hours of 22.00 and 6.00 in the morning you can leave your keys and rental agreement in the drop box provided in the parking locations.

At Terminal 1 you can park your rental car in lines 410 and 411. The Sixt drop box is to the left of the lift. At Terminal 2 the Sixt vehicle can be parked in line 119 on Level U1. The drop box for the keys is located on the way to the lifts and entrance of the Terminal.

If you need to replace the used fuel in the tank, there are two petrol stations near the airport. An Esso petrol station is located close to Terminal 2 and a Shell petrol station is near Terminal 1. This petrol station only accepts credit card payments though.

The minimum age to hire a car from Sixt Frankfurt Airport is 18, although a Young Drivers fee may apply. This is charged daily. It's possible to pay upon arrival with an EC-card, Girocard, VPay or Maestro debit card. In this instance the amount payable for the entire rental period will be taken at the start of the rental. When you pay by credit card, the rental is paid for at the end of the rental contract.
